CourseWeather FAQ
What is CourseWeather, and how does it work?
CourseWeather is an iOS app that lets you quickly see the weather at all of your favorite courses, local or worldwide! It can be used for getting up to date weather information to help with your game on the course, or to plan out when and where to play golf!
Does CourseWeather require location data?
While CourseWeather can use location data to give you highly localized up-to-date weather info, you can also just use it to track weather on your favorite courses! This will change the info displayed on the Home screen from localized weather info to weather data for a selected course.
What is the UV Index?
The UV Index (UVI) is a measure of the strength of ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun. It is a standardized measurement of the intensity of UV radiation on a scale of 0 to 11 or higher. The higher the UV Index, the greater the potential for damage to the skin and eyes from exposure to the sun. The UV Index is an important tool for predicting the risk of sunburn, skin damage, and skin cancer, and for helping people to protect themselves from the harmful effects of UV radiation. It is typically highest during midday hours when the sun's rays are most intense. People can use the UV Index to plan their outdoor activities and to take appropriate precautions, such as wearing protective clothing, using sunscreen, and seeking shade when necessary.
